As the “living fossils”, horseshoe crabs play key role in guarding human health as well as in keeping biological diversity. Amebocyte from the blue blood of horseshoe crabs is the key ingredient to produce LAL/TAL reagent. And LAL/TAL reagent is widely employed to detect endotoxin, which could lead to fever, inflammation, or even death. It could be said that horseshoe crabs safeguard human health. And protection of horseshoe crabs is imperative.
Bioendo has been engaging in production of Lyophilized Amebocyte Lysate since 1978. Since then, Bioendo well fulfills its corporate social responsibility.
In 2019, Bioendo cooperated with Xiamen University, Huaqiao University, Jimei University, and other communities and associations to develop a series of activities of protecting horseshoe crabs.
The activities aimed to share knowledge of horseshoe crabs and necessity of horseshoe crabs protection with common people, hoping to arouse their awareness of horseshoe crabs protection.
Bioendo will continue to do activities like this to protect the environment and nature.
